Elizabeth Woman Busted In $27K Theft Ring In VA, Cops Say

Three people have been arrested in a four-month stealing spree at a Fairfax County mall — none of whom area from the area, police said.

Oscar William Laverde Laverde, 56, of New York, and Sindia Noguera, 43, of New Jersey, are both in custody, while Claudia Suarez, 45, of New York, remains at large, county police said. Online records show Noguera is from Elizabeth, NJ.

The trio are accused of swiping $27,000 in merchandise from stores at the  Fair Oaks Mall and along the 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road in Tysons, according to police.

On Feb. 24, $3,900 in merch was stolen from Tysons; on March 23, $6,000 in merch was stolen from Tysons; on April 13, $2,600 in merch was stolen from Tysons; and on May 11, $15,200 was stolen from Fair Oaks/Tysons, police said.

  • Laverde: Charged with four counts of Grand Larceny, four counts of Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, four counts of Larceny with Intent to Sell, and Possession of a Burglarious Tool. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
  • Noguera: Charged with five counts of Grand Larceny, five counts of Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, five counts of Larceny with Intent to Sell, and Possession of a Burglarious Tool. She is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
  • Suarez: Unable Wanted on warrants for Conspiracy to Commit Larceny. Additional warrants will be sought, police said.

Last week, police announced the arrests of four people in a Fairfax County underwear theft ring.
